  •   I just returned from a week at Finca Exotica and would have loved to stay much longer.

We were upgraded to stay in the Rancho "cabin" - really more like a villa. It would easily sleep 6 people and had the most amazing view over the gardens, jungle and Pacific. We had a great outdoor shower with a toucan singing overhead.

The food was sublime as prepared by Martin and Coco using many ingredients sourced from the Finca or neighbors. We had a different treat for each of our 3 meals which were beautifully presented.

We really enjoyed our Corcovado hike - and between that hike and others around the Finca we were treated to views of many birds, coati, anteater, butterflies, frogs etc.

Our taxi driver, Andy arranged through the Finca was great with a nature tour en route to the lodge.

I can't wait to go next year. More

I loved staying at Finca Exotica, it's a piece of heaven on earth. This place is perfect to unplug and plug into nature. I enjoy the simplicity and the the family dinners with other guests. The food was wonderful and made with much love. The owners and the team are very kind and helpful with booking tours and ensuring my stay was everything I could've imagined. The hike on the land is beautiful and the sunsets are breathtaking. This lodge is truly one of a kind experience and i can highly recommend this as a destination to find peace, tranquility and connecting back with nature. So grateful to all the staff at finca that makes this place a magical place to relax into bliss! More

Wanted to get off the grid and explore some of Corcovado National Park. Instead found that the grounds immediately around Finca Exotica are filled with amazing birds and mammals. The area is remote so nowhere to eat except the lodge. No problem! Marvin and then Coco ran the kitchen and prepared amazing food. Not a bad meal during our 1 week stay with lots of fresh vegetables and fruits and always a personal touch. Even did "raw" food meals for a couple staying there.

We loved the cabins with no walls. The sounds of crashing waves lull you to sleep and bird sounds start filling the air around 4:30am. No problem with no wall, locks, and only mosquito netting. Bugs were not a problem. Leave your extra clothes at home - bring only a few pair of shorts and enough t-shirts. There were several other lodges in the area, one close to Finca Exotica and another closer to the park. From what I could see we made the right choice of lodge for accessibility, location, and amenities. Would definitely go back and may become a regular visitor. More

We had a wonderful stay. The team is very small and each individual cannot do enough to make your stay better. The food prepared with passion and love by Coco was excellent at every meal. The views of jungle (and being immersed in!) and ocean are unbeatable. Yoga every day on the deck was the most magical way to start the day and you can hear the sound of the ocean everywhere on the property The treks were excellent with Laura, an extremely knowledgeable guide; we saw more wildlife than we had hoped! We stayed in a cabina - the perfect way to wake up in the rainforest. Unbeatable... having considered many other options and now visiting this remote corner of the world there is nowhere else I would stay in Osa. More

I traveled with my two sons (18 and 20) and my fiance as well as my sister and her family. Getting to the lodge was an adventure in itself. The accommodations were very unique and beautiful. We all loved the dining arrangement because we enjoyed meeting the other travelers from around the world. The food was delicious. The manager arranged our guide for our hike and he was friendly and very knowledgeable. We saw so many beautiful birds and animals.

Finca Exotica is a very special place to stay. We booked the Rancho, which is the huge cabin on top of the hill. The effort to get up there (7 minute hike) is rewarded by a breathtaking view of the ocean and the rainforest surrounding the property, which is also the first thing you will see waking up, just overwhelming. The bathroom is completely outside, but who doesn't need a little adventure at night, when you need to go to the bathroom? All meals are served on a large table, where all the guests can have a dinner together, without any mobile phones at the table, just good old conversation and delicious food made by the new chef (Marvin). We also had a great time with Gary at the Corcovado national park (day hike, 18km), which we would really recommend on doing, because it's one of the most pristine national parks in Costa Rica. We also would like to thank the staff for making our stay so amazing and enjoyable. The spontaneous help (Jose just offered to drive us) with our transport to our next accomodation was really curteous. Thanks for your help and the nice time we had at your finca, we'd love to come back.
